MAINTENANCE TIPS FOR EXTERIOR TRIM
- Caulk all open trim joints. This is the main reason for rotted trim.
- Paint the exterior trim every 2 to 3 years.
MAINTENANCE TIPS FOR FASCIA BOARDS
- Caulk all open fascia board joints.
- Paint the fascias every 2 to 3 years.
- Check for wood boring bee and wood pecker damage on an annual basis and repair as needed.
Small holes in the fascia boards can be filled with an exterior wood filler.
MAINTENANCE TIPS FOR SOFFITS
- Check for moisture stains in the soffits that may indicate a roof leak and repair as
needed.
- Paint the soffits every 2 to 3 years.
- Check the soffits for wasp and hornets periodically and take appropriate measures to
remove them safely.
